Yes, I think so. However, it depends if they are allowed to do it.
I am pretty sure we will see some interesting privacy/private rights debate regarding this topic. Lobbyists might try to make it legal everywhere for marketing purposes.

The data generated is very important for brands so yes, I see it becoming mainstream.
